Chapter 13 bankruptcy — debt reorganization/consolidation

Under Chapter 13 bankruptcy a wage earner's debts are reorganized under a plan that will allow the debtor to pay creditors off in three to five years. The trustee will then make payments to your creditors. You will live on a budget approved by the court during those three to five years.
